Course Description
This programme is supported through the Higher Education Authority Path 4 Phase 2. This programme provides individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to attend and complete a programme of study at MTU. The Programme will run 3 days per week for 3 semesters, from January 2025 to June 2026.
The major themes of the programme address personal and professional development, effectiveness and agency, with a view to enhancing employability and opportunities for further studies. This will be done with the support of dedicated programme resources (learning support, assistive technology, programme coordinator, placement coordinator, pastoral support, independence advocate).
The principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) will guide the delivery and assessment methods of the programme by ensuring that content is accessible, inclusive, and adaptable to diverse learning needs.
